Hi, I'm Fran Ortiz, a Product Engineer. I like being involved in the whole life of a product: understanding what users need, deciding what to build, shipping it, and then running and improving it.
I see product development as a continuous learning process. I work in small steps and use feedback from users, from the system and from the team to decide what to do next.
During my career, I have had the opportunity to build different products, trying to provide value by implementing continuous learning cultures based on Extreme Programming (XP) and DevOps.
I choose tools based on the problem to solve. Technology is a means to meet users' needs, not the goal. Over the years I've worked with different languages, distributed systems, data pipelines and, more recently, AI agents.
